How much for a haircut?

The main reason for this thread was to find out how much you tip for a haircut, but I thought I would include the price as well.
I live in a large city and pay $12. Until recently it was $11. Tip the guy $5 unless he makes me wait over 10 minutes while he is out running errands. Then it's just $4. That includes a shampoo, but not blowdryer. Blowdryer is $1 more. Been going to the same guy for about 5 years. It's a salon masquerading as a barber shop: nothing fancy.

Curious to hear about others' experiences.

I pay $20 including tip for a haircut, shampoo, and scalp, neck and shoulder massage by an attractive Viet girl. Its a Thai barbershop in downtown Honolulu. :thumbsup2:

Sadly, I bet this kind of stuff is unavailable in downtown Pittsburgh, where I will probably be relocating soon (just to shake up my life a little).

I thought the rule was 20% tip for services. I pay $13.00 and tip $3.00.
I might need to increase that after reading this thread.

I still cant figure out how anyone who gambles worrys about things like this. No no IS, I dont think you did anything wrong.

I just assumed gamblers where people who threw lots of money around and over tipped when possible.

The guy who originally debunked this theory for me was non other than BRENT MUSBERGER.

I tip $1 on occassion

SHAME ON YOU.

I usually pay 10 with a coupon and double it with a tip. My wife will spend 150 and more on a regular basis, it sickens me but I don't ever mention it.
I assume your too cheap to get the backrub sportsclips offers.

If you go to the same place a dollar is insanely ridiculous, you'll end up getting that fat ugly stylist every time.

To me the tip has nothing to do with price, they charged 4.99 for a cut the other day at Great Clips here, I gave a 10 dollar tip. Same goes with waiters if the food was cheap I'll over tip, if it seemed expensive they'll get a straight 15%.

No matter where you go or what you buy if a service is being provided you should tip at least 20% unless service is poor, then why would you go back.

My local watering hole has georgous babes and when I come in the drink is right there. Very friendly conversation and get treated like I own the place.

Whether its me or the tip I dont care. Its nice for people to appreciate a good tipper with great service and quite a few free ones.

Just something I have been doing for many years.

Do not be cheap. Anyone here who lays $ on a bet can afford a tip, and a good one if service is good.

I'll admit I pamper myself, pay $70 and tip $20. Place is catered to men where you get beer served to you, there is a tv at each booth only for sports. I get a cut,15 minute scalp massage, hand maasage. Basically I get pampered.works for me. going in for a regular massage soon
